The experience required to direct the stereoscopy in movie productions with 2K cameras has been built by us with great care and difficulties in years of training.

The testing were supported by companies who believe in stereoscopy project, because it's a great extent which boosted its own image and communication abroad

Synchronized camera systems software has been developed, for zooming and for 2 video streaming managing during projection.

On these roots and experience of the new born Xilostudios LILLIWOOD designed and crafted especially for film and advertising: the new members has created a stronger and more effective structure for such activities in Italy and abroad.

LILLIWOOD is in agreement with some companies considered strategic for our development and increase in stereoscopic production. With these agreements we have created new exclusive solutions that allow us to work in the best way of quality and speed

During the last 2 years we have tested the entire process to produce 2K stereoscopic movies and 3D animations with high quality cameras. We have our personal method on the set. It provides a new and very important profession: the director of stereography that manages the 3D shootings in a film production.

This methodology will allow good results that could be impossible to get with software or workstations.

For post-production, we use dedicated software and workstations. The ultimate mastering and encoding is in Dolby or RealD standard.

IIn March 2009, we have produced the first 2K stereoscopic trailer with the cooperation of our Italian partners Carlo Macchiavello e Giuseppe Magurno. The new UCI trailer is still projected as an introduction to all stereoscopic movies. This project represents the first Italian 2K stereoscopic production which has been enhtirely designed and created in Italy.

IIn September 2009, Lilliwood had the pleasure of working with Wim Winders, as director of stereoscopy, in the first 3D fiction movie called "Il Volo". It was Technos/ Video-One production, DOP: Romano Albani, cameraman: Michele Picciaredda, editing by Roberto Perpignani. Based on Eugenio Melloni 'story, with Luca Zingaretti (the prefect), Ben Gazzara (the mayor) and, for the first time on the big screen, Salvatore Fiore as the kid. The movie was shot in Calabria.

We found a great interest in this project, because this was a great occasion to produce a new project with this technology, very telling to communicate values and real emotions

This movie represents the first story based on a true story and it has never been shot whit this new technology.

We are convinced that stereoscopy is rising very fast and the cinema has reached a turning point: from the silent era to the sound, from the black and white movies to the color and now from the 2D to the 3D.
